Controversial US President Donald Trump is in support of Middle East countries’ actions against American ally -Qatar which hosts the largest U.S. air base in the region.
In a Twitter post, Trump revealed that his recent trip to the Middle East was “already paying off”; “So good to see the Saudi Arabia visit with the King and 50 countries already paying off. They said they would take a hard line on funding extremism, and all reference was pointing to Qatar. Perhaps this will be the beginning of the end to the horror of terrorism!” Trump wrote on the social media platform.
A diplomatic row has been brewing in the last three days following a hacking dispute which revealed leaks and comments against member countries of the Gulf of Arab falsely attributed to Qatar’s emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The comments which came to the open after the hack has set Qatar against the Gulf’s Arab countries, forcing Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and Egypt to cut ties with the oil rich country.
