Archbishop Obinna tackles Gov Okorocha
The Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, His Grace, Dr. Anthony J. V. Obinna, has charged Governor Rochas Okorocha to govern with human face.
Obinna, who spoke exclusively to Vanguard yesterday, in response to Okorocha’s accusation that he had gone partisan instead of facing his religious duties, reminded the governor that he cannot keep quiet in the face of palpable suffering of the citizenry.
“Will it amount to partisan politics if I ask government to pay workers their earned salaries and allowances? How can I shut up when pensioners are senselessly dying as a result of non-payment of their pension and gratuity? If the governor wants me to stop criticizing and exposing his flaws, he should please do the right things”, Archbishop Obinna said.
Making particular reference to the plight of Imo pensioners, the cleric said: “It is most baffling that the governor wants to pay a paltry 40 percent of their earned pension and expect all of us to remain quiet in the face of this glaring injustice to humanity”.

OTHER MEN OF GOD CLAIM TO BE PRAYING WHILE FRAUD,STEALING AND CHEATING ARE GOING ON RIGHT BEFORE THEM. THESE MEN OF GOD FAILED TO REALISE THAT: ”The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”. YOU CAN SEE THAT OUR SUPPOSEDLY GOOD MEN (FROM THE TRADITIONAL RULERS, THE SENIOR CITIZENS/ELDERSTATESMEN,THE LEGISLATURE, THE JUDICIARY, THE CLERGY) ARE ALL SILENT AND DOING NOTHING IN THE FACE OF EVIL.
