Accusations and counter accusations have continued to fly in the air in Osun State with the current one being the allegation that the state governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has diverted N20 billion from the bail-fund given to the state by the Federal Government.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said the money was paid to Slava Yedittepe, a contractor handling one of the roads in the state.
The state received N34. 998 from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to handle some of its pressing domestic problems including the payment of salaries to the state civil servants, who were owed for many months.

The Director of Media and Strategy of the state’s PDP, Diran Odeyemi, who made this known on Sunday, faulted the governor for allegedly diverting the money from the purpose it was not meant for.
According to him, the money was supposed to be utilized for the payment of workers’ salary of nine months and other persons.
But the governor’s media aide, Semiu Okanlawon, has always fired back anytime allegation of financial mismanagement was raised against the governor by the PDP, saying the party was trying “to incite the workers and the public against the governor”.
