AREWA YOUTHS ISSUE STERN WARNING TO FANI-KAYODE: Stop insulting Buhari, northern elders or else…

A voice from the grave

The Arewa Youth Forum (AYF) has warned a former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode to halt his criticisms of President Muhammadu Buhari, and other northern elders, or face their wrath.

The AYF also condemn Fani-Kayode’s recent alleged statement on how President Buhari hates the Igbos and would never forgive them.

Fani-Kayode was alleged to have said, “Any Igbo person in the APC needs to have his or her head examined. Such a person is a confused soul who has been conned and who has sold his soul to an Igbo hater, a radical islamist, an ethnic supremacist, a religious bigot and a racist”.

Responding, AYF in a memo signed by its national president, Alhaji Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu, demanded that the security agencies arrest and prosecute the former minister for his alleged comment, which he said was meant to incite hatred based on lies against President Buhari and the Igbo in Nigeria.

Gujungu said, “As the umbrella organization of all Northern youths in the 19 northern states, we want to warn Femi Fani-Kayode that he should stop insulting the person of President Muhammadu Buhari and other northern leaders or be ready to face our wrath.

“AYF also wants to condemn in its entirety the recent outbursts by Fani Kayode that President Buhari said he would never forgive the Ibos. As we know that President Muhammadu Buhari is the father of the nation and his policies has shown that he means well for the country.

“While we condemn his move to malign the President using ethnic and religious sentiments, we want to use the opportunity to call on security operatives to call the former aviation Minister to present his facts on the said discussion or be prosecuted for incitement and causing disaffection in the country. This is because his statement can cause the breach of trust and led to crisis at a time we are building trust and working to bring all Nigerians together across the length and breadth of the country”.

Gujungu then emphasised on the demand of Northern Elders Forum that the North will retain the position of president in 2019 in any eventuality anything happens and Buhari could not continue as president.

“The north and indeed Nigeria is at a cross road and we want to support the stand of the northern elders that all efforts should be geared towards retaining the presidency in the region. This is because it will engender equity and justice and go a long way to foster love and unity since the North has not enjoyed its share of power in the recent past,” he said.

Seriously, Igbos in APC need to have their brains examined, Buhari is not treating them right, he chose the Hausas over all of them, yet they are still dancing behind Buhari like puppies. Where did they all put their sense of reasoning?

This isn’t particular to the Igbos alone, the Yorubas are also greatly affected by Buhari’s style of favoring the Northerners ahead of all other tribes in Nigeria. Osinbajo the vice president is a Yoruba man, but the Hausas warned him not to think of becoming the president and none of the so called presidential aids who works in Buhari’s kitchen could shut them up for their hate comment. We’ve all been sold by Buhari to the Fulani kingdom.

Only Buhari who started this tribalism can put an end to it, Fani Kayode is supposed to direct all his anger on Buhari for ruling in this such a disjointed manner. I hope he’ll return safely and end the hatred he created.
