Army elevates 74 senior officers (See list)

The Nigerian Army Council has sanctioned the promotion of 74 senior officers to the ranks of Major General and Brigadier General.

A statement signed by the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Sagir Musa, on Sunday, said a total of 31 officers were promoted to the rank of Major General, while another 43 officers were elevated to Brigadier General.

According to the statement, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai, had congratulated the officers and urged them to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their responsibilities.
