The Nigerian Army has kept to its promise of fishing out the unknown soldier who allegedly battered and bruised veteran dancehall musician, Baba Fryo in the Ojo area of Lagos.

One of the suspects apprehended by the Nigerian Army identified as Muhammed Ishaq (a fake soldier) was reportedly arrested by the military police of the Ojo cantonment hours after Baba Fryo reported the matter.

The ‘Denge Pose’ exponent Baba Fryo took to his Facebook page to share the picture of the arrested suspect and also thank OC MP Ojo Cantonment Capt. A.S ATUNWA for his effective investigation and immediate action on the matter.

“People need to be very careful these days as there so are many Babylonians posing as soldiers. I am very proud of the Nigerian Army and OC MP ojo Cantonment Capt. A.S ATUNWA for his effective investigations and action taking in this matter. We give thanks to the most high God,” Baba Fryo’s message on Facebook read in part.

The once-popular musician known for releasing street songs like his 90’s hit ‘Denge Pose’ didn’t really give details of the incident when he raised the alarm yesterday but revealed that the soldiers who assaulted him were allowed to escape into the barracks by another female soldier.

He also informed that the matter had been reported to authorities at the Ojo Army barrack, who promised to investigate the matter in a bid to bring the erring officers to book which they have done in part.
