Army kills 21 Boko Haram terrorist, rescues 1,623 of their captives (Photos)

The Nigerian Army on Monday killed 21 Boko Haram terrorists and rescued 1,623 persons in captivity of the insurgent group.

The operation was carried out by troops on clearance mission at Jarawa village in Kala Balge Local Government Area of Borno.

This was made known to newsmen in a statement issued by the army spokesperson, Sani Usman, who further revealed that the troops also recovered three AK-47 rifles with registration numbers 565222414, 563729686 and UF 3646, a 36 hand grenade, 12 cutlasses and four motorcycles.

According to the army spokesperson, “The rescued persons have been escorted to Rann Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp, while all the children were vaccinated.

He added that “one significant aspect of this operation is that the unit noted for its experience in battle, resilience and bravery did not record any casualty.”

Usman further disclosed that the troops of three Battalion, 22 Brigade, following tip off also cleared the terrorists settlements in Deima, Artano, Saduguma, Duve, Bardo, Kala, Bok, Msherde and Ahirde.

      Yes. Baba Buhari is giving sophisticated ammunitions to defeat Boko Haram unlike pdp government who diverted money meant for ammunition to do election.

    Is Boko Haram trying to develop another country inside Borno state? What are they doing with 1,623 hostages ?

      Now that the gallant men of the Nigeria army have wiped them out, all their missions in the village have failed too. It’s left to the government to reveal the identities of the freed victims.

      You must be an irrational human being. How can you say Boko Haram is fake? Because your people are not residing in the North East to tell you story, you better seek for forgiveness for that corrosive thing you said.
