“I got N2 million from the ransom paid for the release of the Turkish students. But I got only N150,000 from the landlord at Isheri North Estate because the ransom paid was not much and we were many that shared it. I used part of my share to rent and furnish an apartment in Ughelli town’’, he said.

Continuing, the suspect said he was arrested by a neighbour who accused him of sleeping with his wife but was later released and he relocated to a hotel after he was told to vacate his apartment.

“At the police station, I was granted bail on the condition that I must park out of the compound and also leave the community. I relocated to a hotel in Ughelli, from where I intended to look for another accommodation. But to my surprise, some policemen came and arrested me. It was at the station they told me that they have been trailing me”, he narrated.

Delta indigenes are know for kidnapping and I wonder why they are indulge in it. Although the major occupation of the Niger Deltans is kidnapping but that is how they will always be apprehended no matter how it lingers.

It must be a generational curse on them because of their greediness and insatiable desire for money. Kudos to the police force for a good job well done.

One of the problems with kidnappers is that anytime they have successful operation, they don’t think about the consequences so as to prepare hard for it. They just think they will never get caught.

Nigerian police force is working more recently, has the government increased their salaries? Because they seem to be nabbing all criminals.

Lol. That’s how it should be, police should always fisticuff all hardened criminals especially kidnappers.

Why mentioning Delta state alone? Are there no kidnappers in other states? Please be careful with your words.
