English Premier League side, Arsenal FC, have been drawn against Spanish giants Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals of the 2017/2018 UEFA Europa League.
According to the draw made on Friday in Nyon, Switzerland, the to clubs who are favourites of the competition will face each other in the last four.
Meanwhile, French Ligue 1 side, Olympique Marseille were drawn to battle Red Bull Salzburg of Austria for a spot in the final.
The first legs will be played on 26 April – Arsenal will be hosting Atletico as Salzburg will play guests to Marseille – and the second legs will be played on 3 May 2018.
Atletico are former winners of the Europa League with triumphs in 2010 and 2012, whioe the last time Arsenal made it to the final of the UEFA Cup was in 2000.
Ultimately, the winner of this season’s Europa League will qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
