Arsenal have returned to the top of the Premier League after defeating Aston Villa 4-2, thanks to two late goals.

The Gunners had lost their lead at the top after losing to Manchester City within the week but had a game in hand.

With the victory at Villa, the Mikel Arteta boys have now gone three points clear at the summit.

Ollie Watkins opened scoring with an early effort before Bukayo Saka levelled about 10 minutes after.

Phillippe Coutinho restored the lead in the halfhour mark before Zinchenko made it 2-2. But Emi Martinez scored an own goal in the 93rd-minute while Gabriel Martinelli adds fourth for the Gunners.

Arsenal will stay top if Manchester City fail to beat Nottingham Forest later on Saturday.
