Arsenal wins 500th EPL against West Brom

Arsenal picked up their 500th win in the Premier League against West Brom on Thursday.

The Gunners’ favourite side to play in the past 24 years has been Everton, whom they have beaten 29 times and scored 91 goals against. West Ham, Aston Villa and Newcastle are their second most beaten teams (25).

Arsenal have only had three managers since the start of the Premier League, with Arsene Wenger picking up 432 wins of the 500 (86 percent) since he took over in 1996. The Frenchman has lost 131 and drawn 185 of his other league games.

The other managers to have taken charge of the Gunners during this period are George Graham (1992-95) who won 42, drew 38 and lost 33; Bruce Rioch (1995-96) who won 17, drew 12 and lost nine.

Stewart Houston won six of his 18 matches, while assistant manager Pat Rice took charge of three and won three.

Arsenal won 171 of their league games at Highbury before moving stadiums to the Emirates in 2006. They have now won 123 at their new home.
