The former Ekiti State governor had denied that his seeking for another four years in office after suffering defeat as incumbent governor in 2014 was as a result of desperation.

According to him, the desire to return as the state governor was borne out of his inability to finish his mission in the first tenure.

He had claimed, “I have a sense of unfinished business; not a sense of wanting to come back for desperate reasons. I served as governor of the state for four years – whatever I’m doing is based on the record that somebody could be subjected to critical scrutiny.”
