Assembly election: APC, PDP deny hoarding forms

Published

on

In recent time there, had been speculations that forms for National Assembly and state Houses of Assembly elections forms were being hoarded, but this allegation was largely dismissed by both the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party in this report by our correspondents.

The Peoples Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State says it encouraged stakeholders and aspirants in various constituencies in the state to harmonize and bring forward aspirants to contest their state Assembly primaries slated for later this month. The state publicity secretary of the party Ini Ememobong told Saturday Telegraph that the aim is to forestall wasting of money in this dire time.

The Plateau State chapters of APC and PDP have both denied hoarding House of Assembly forms in Plateau State as a way of controlling number of aspirants and wanting to use consensus. The APC chairman in Plateau State Hon. Letep Dabang while speaking to Saturday Telegraph in Jos said the APC had given all aspirant liberty to purchase their forms without hindrance, saying all payment is done in the bank and the responsibility of the party is to certify the receipt of payment and issue the nomination form.
