Stop rejoicing, tribunal did not deny me access to INEC server, Atiku replies Presidency

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general election, Atiku Abubakar has formally dragged President Muhammadu Buhari to the Supreme Court.

Atiku and his party, PDP, had after the election challenged the declaration of Buhari as the winner of the poll, before the Presidential Election Tribunal.

But the tribunal, in a recent ruling, dismissed Atiku’s prayers and affirmed Buhari as the winner of the election.

A senior lawyer in Atiku and PDP’s legal team, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), had then vowed that they would challenge the ruling.

Atiku, also recently, confirmed he was going to challenge the ruling at the Supreme Court.

But the National Support for Atiku’s Mandate, in a post on its Twitter handle on Tuesday confirmed that the PDP presidential candidate has formerly dragged Buhari to the Supreme Court.

“Presidential Election: Atiku formally filed an appeal, ask Supreme Court to declare him president,” the tweet read.

It was learnt that the appeal was predicated on 66 grounds, outlining how the tribunal erred in its verdict on Atiku and PDP’s petition against the election of President Buhari.
