Atletico boss Simeone expects 'tough' Arsenal tie

At the edge of crashing out of the Champions League, Atletico Madrid Coach Diego Simeone says his side can only worry about their game at Chelsea and not think about Roma’s clash with Qarabag.

For Atletico to progress to the knockout stages, they need to defeat the Premier League champions in London and hope that Qarabag obtain a positive result in Rome.

“We should only be thinking about ourselves and our situation,” Simeone told a press conference.

“I do not think we should be worrying about what is happening in Rome as we are playing a fantastic team and must give everything to that match.”

Chelsea are on 10 points and already qualified for the round of 16, Roma are on 8 points, needing a win against Qarabag to scale through, while Atletico are on 6 points ahead of the final group game.

“Chelsea are top of the group and they deserve to be in that position, so we must give our all if we are to gain a positive result.

“We need to take the game to them as we believe that is our best possible chance of hurting them and winning the match.

“This competition has meant a lot to us over the past few years and now we must fight to continue that tradition,” Simeone stated.

You can never hurt my team by any means, so is better you focus on your dear game normally, so as not to get hurt in the course focusing too much on Chelsea. Mind you, you are referring to current English champion until May next…
