Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has shared publicly the reason he has been absent for a while at the club, saying his mother’s health had not been good.

The 31-year-old Gabonese star was absent in the Gunners’ 3-1 victory over Southampton in the Premier League on Tuesday night, and was also absent in their 1-0 loss to the Saints in the FA Cup last weekend.

“My mother is going through some health issues and I had to be there for her,” said Aubameyang in a tweet.

“I’m more than grateful to the doctors and nurses helping her get through this,” he added, saying his mother was much better now.
