AWCON 2016: Falcons thrash Kenya 4-0, to play S/Africa at the Semi

In their last group game at the African Women Cup of Nations in Cameroon, the Nigerian senior women team thrashed their Kenyan counterparts 4-0 on Saturday, to finish first in group B.

Only few minutes into the game, goals from Ngozi Okobi in the thrid minute and Faith Ikidi, sixth minute put the Super Falcons ahead in the first half, and two more goals from Asisat Oshoala and Oparanozie in the second half perfected
the win.

In the other game of the group between the Ghana and Mali, the Black Queens defeated Mali 3-1, leaving them at second place by goal difference to the Falcons.

Hence, Nigeria, as first in the group will play South Africa in the Semi final, while Ghana, who finished second, will play hosts Cameroon.
