It is true what they say, that in politics there are no permanent friends, only permanent interests, which in Nigeria context translate into contracts or political appiontment. So, loyalty to a party or persons is not in the vocabulary of a typical Nigerian politician.
So seems the case of warri billionaire politician Ayiri Emami who was spotted recently with APC National leader Bola Tinubu after he declared that he has dumped the PDP for APC.
The former staunch PDP member, who campaigned tirelessly for the party before president Jonathan lost his re-election bid, is reported to have shown his supporters his APC card at his home in Ubeji, Warri on Wednesday.
He told his supporters to join him in the winning party as the PDP umbrella was leaking and could no longer provide shelter for them. He then asked them to vote for the APC governorship candidate in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor.
