Senator Ayogu Eze, on Tuesday described the ruling that removed him as All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for Enugu State as a ‘ Kabukabu’ judgment.
Justice I Ekwo of the Federal High Court Abuja, had earlier on Tuesday sacked Ayogu Eze as the APC governorship candidate in Enugu State. In his place, he advised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize Barrister George Ogara as the APC candidate.
Ekwo had ruled that Senator Ayogu Eze was not rightly nominated as the party’s candidate having not fulfilled extant provisions of the APC constitution.
However, speaking while inaugurating his campaign council in Enugu, the Senator chastised the judge for lacking in conscience with no fear about the future.
He described the ruling as an atrocity, and assured his supporters that the judgement would be set aside.
“They have been battling us from the time of conception, the time of birth, the time of crawling, the time of walking and the time of running.
“I have spoke with our national legal adviser, I have spoken with our national chairman, very soon they will issue statement. They will not recognize any other person,” Ayogu said.
