Though the dust that surrounded the wedding that never was may have settled, many are yet to recover from the phantom marriage between President Buhari and Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs.

Celebrity Gist gathered that Fatima has told all those who care to listen that her father, Mamman Daura, is not arranging a new wife for Buhari to spite Aisha as believed in some quarters.

Fatima, who is miffed by the allegations against her father, also noted that her dad was not even aware of the rumours about the marriage issue because he doesn’t use the social media.

Kizz Daniel

The feud between Kizz Daniel and his former record label, G Worldwide may not have ended after all, judging by latest findings.

Celebrity Gist can authoritatively confirm that G Worldwide has engaged the law firm of Olisa Agbakoba Legal, led by Senior Counsel, Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, SAN, to prosecute its claims against the artiste over his decision not to see out his contract with the record label.

Feelers also say the record label has sought legal redress against the Kiss Daniel before the relevant Courts in Nigeria, viz: a claim for breach of recording contract against the artiste before the High Court of Lagos State, and another claim before the Federal High Court, Lagos, for infringement of its intellectual property rights by the artiste.

Justin Bieber

Pop star, Justin Bieber may have just found himself the target of a lawsuit which seems to beat the imagination of those aware of his current predicament.

We gather that a paparazzi photographer, identified as Robert Barbera, has filed a lawsuit against Justin Beiber for copyright infringement after the musician shared a picture of himself earlier this year on Instagram.

Feelers say that in the court documents, Barbera asserted that Bieber is guilty of “unauthorized reproduction and public display” of his photography.

But critics are quick to wave aside the suit branding Barbera as an opportunist plotting to milk easy cash out of Justin Beiber for posting a photo taken by him.

DAVIDO

Davido

Well, it may no longer be news that Davido and his ‘queen’, Chioma, have welcomed a baby boy. What is fresh is that the baby was named soon after his father hugged him on Sunday.

Davido, via his verified Instagram handle, revealed the name of the newborn baby. Sharing a photo of him holding his newborn, he wrote, “Omoba ti de!! David Adedeji Ifeanyi Adeleke Jr.”

Davido is now a proud dad of three children from three different women.

Tony Okoroji

The battle for the recognition of a sole collecting society in Nigeria rages on with the Performing Musicians Employer’s Association of Nigeria (PMAN) and the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) still at loggerheads.

Reports say that PMAN is making moves to stop Tony Okoroji-led COSON from accessing any funds domiciled with Access Bank on behalf of Nigerian artistes.

We hear also that PMAN is seeking an independent audit of the accounts of every kobo collected and operations of COSON under Tony Okoroji’s tenure as chairman of the collecting society in the last nine years.

ZLATAN

Naira Marley set to appear in court as EFCC returns car, phone belonging to Zlatan Ibile

Zlatan

He is regarded as the one of the most followed music acts on the scene but the talented musician seems to be having a running battle with cult groups.

Celebrity Gist stumbled upon an online video days ago which showed some alleged Aiye cult members attacking Zlatan, during his show at DonRecky Hall, New Jersey, USA.

That incident was not the first time Zlatan was harassed by suspected cult members as back in April, soldiers whisked him out of the Gateway Polytechnic, Saapade, Ogun State, after some cult members tried to attack him.
