Balogun benched, Success missing in Brighton, Watford draw; Chelsea bounce back with Higuain double

Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun was an unused substitute in Brighton’s home game against Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.

In the same encounter, Nigeria forward, Isaac Success was missing in the matchday squad for Watford, who held their hosts to a goalless draw.

At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea bounced back from their 4-0 defeat at Bournemouth to win 5-0 over Huddersfield.

Juventus striker on loan at the Bridge, Gonzalez Higuain opened his goal account at the club as he fired his new side to victory.

Both Higuain and Eden Hazard scored twice each before David Luiz wrapped it up for the hosts, who now go a place above city rivals Arsenal on the League table.

At Turf Moor, Southampton were held by a spirited Burnley, who scored in dying minutes to secure a point in the 1-1 draw.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace defeated Fulham 2-0, while Everton suffered a 1-3 loss to Wolverhampton wanderers.

Cardiff will host Bournemouth later on Saturday.
