Barcelona fall to second as Atletico seal comeback win to go top
Barcelona have been pushed out of the top spot of the Spanish La Liga after losing to Atletico Madrid on Saturday night.
The game played at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys saw Barca open scoring in the half hour mark, but Atletico pulled off an incredible comeback effort to win 2-1.
Substitute Alexander Sorloth scored an injury-time winner as Atletico fought back to replace Barcelona at the top of the league.

Pedri opened the scoring for Barcelona in the 30th minute, but despite their dominance, the hosts couldn’t hold on and Rodrigo De Paul hammered home the equaliser on the hour mark.
The victory means Atletico will end 2024 as the top team in Spain, three points above Barcelona, who have played a game more.
Hansi Flick’s Barca side could slip to third if Real Madrid beat Sevilla on Sunday.
