BAUCHI: Gov Abubakar congratulates 'my brother Sen Bala'

Bauchi State Governor, Muhammad Abubakar, who is seeking reelection under the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been defeated in his polling unit by his main contender, Bala Mohammed, of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presiding officer at the centre, Gindin Durumi polling unit of Bauchi Metropolis, Chinedu Onora, announced that the APC candidate polled 288 votes while his PDP counterpart garnered 358 votes.

The New Nigeria Peoples party (NNPP) had 20 votes while Green Party of Nigeria (GPN) 11 votes. 55 votes were also recorded invalid.
