House of Reps to decide on Bauchi House crisis after report

A bill seeking to name higher institutions in the state after world’s billionaires, Bill Gates and Aliko Dangote, has been passed into law by the Bauchi State House of Assembly on Wednesday.

The lawmakers passed the resolution after the bill was screened by the House Committee on Health and Human Services which recommended a change of name for the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Ningi local government.

It proposed the institution to be names after Gates, for the contributions of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in improving lives in the state.

Moreso, a decision to name the College of Nursing Sciences, Bauchi after the richest African, Aliko Dangote for his contributions in the health sector, was also muted.
