Benue health commissioner resigns

The Commissioner for Health and Human Resources in Benue, Dr Sunday Ongbabo has resigned from Governor Samuel Ortom-led government of the state.

Ongbabo, who doubles as the secretary of the state Action Committee on COVID-19, resigned his position on Monday.

The former health commissioner did not make the reason for his action public.

However, Governor Ortom, who confirmed the development through his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, said he had accepted the resignation.

The governor thanked Dr Ongbabo for his service to the state and wished him well in his future engagements.
