Benue: LG boss, others remanded for alleged murder

A newly inaugurated Sole Administrator of Buruku Local Government, David Yiman, has been placed on remand by Chief Magistrate Court 1, sitting in Makurdi, Benue State for alleged murder.

He was one of the 23 sole administrators inaugurated on October 11, 2016 by Governor Samuel Ortom.

Also remanded along him are Kosuvenyi Kungwa and Emmanuel Nyajo.

First Information Report from the court stated that the accused were arrested over the murder of a 50-year-old lecturer of Political Science, University of Mkar, Mr. Aondosoo Wilfred Tondo, in August.

Police had arrested during its investigation into the murder case, Kungwa, Nyajo and Yiman for collaborating with many others nowhere to be found to commit the crime.
