B'HARAM FIGHT: Army unveils mine resistant vehicles made in Nigeria

The Nigerian Army on Thursday unveiled four Mine Resistant Anti Ambush Vehicles designed and manufactured in Nigeria in collaboration with Proforce, a local company operating in Nigeria.

The vehicles were unveiled at Nigerian Army Resource Centre Asokoro, Abuja.

The Director of Army Public Relations, Col Sagir Musa, in a post on his official Twitter handle, said the vehicles will help to enhance the army’s capacity in the fight against terrorism and insurgency in Nigeria.

He wrote, “The desire of the Nigerian Army (NA) Chief, Lt Gen TY Buratai, to make NA self sufficient in the production of Defence hardwares receive a boost with unveilling of four Mine Resistant Anti Ambush Protected Vehicles manufactured in Nigeria in collaboration with Proforce Limited.

“In Nigerian Army’s drive for self relience and the need to develop indigenous production of Defence hardwares four Mine Resistant Anti Ambush Protected Vehicles manufactured in Nigeria were unveiled by the Chief of Defence Staff General AG Olonisakin on 1 August 2019.”
