Biafra agitators allege plot to kill Nnamdi Kanu

The Buhari-led government is plotting to eliminate Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the group’s affiliates alleged on Monday.  It also named the Department of State Service, DSS and three South East Governors and some National Assembly members as co- conspirators in the alleged plot.

In a statement signed by its Media and Publicity Officer, IPOB said, “the plot by FG, DSS and three Governors from the Southeastern States is to eliminate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB and Director of Radio Biafra on his way to next court date.

It said “the meeting where the plot was perfected had top notches of All Progressives Congress, APC, three Governors from the South East and some Senators from the same zone and some well-known enemies of the actualisation of Biafra project”.

“The plan was perfected in the meeting and designed to be carried out by a killer squad who will open fire on the vehicle as he is being taken to court.”

The government of President Muhammadu Buhari has increasingly come under fire for allegedly influencing the courts to disregard bail granted suspects facing political trials.
