BIAFRA: Associate with IPOB at your own risk, Police warns citizens

Following the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra by the South East governors, Abia State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Anthony Ogbizi, has vowed that anybody that “abets, finances, encourages or associates with the banned group will be arrested and charged to court.

He stated this when seven suspected members of IPOB were paraded, insisting that it has now become illegal for anyone to operate under IPOB or adorn Biafra emblems following the ban of the group by the governors of the region.
The CP, who condemned the attack on Ariaria Market Police Station, lamented that one of the injured officers, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, serving at the Police Station has died out of the injuries he sustained during the attack.

He said, “Nnamdi Kanu and his brothers, engage in photo-shopping. They thrive through propaganda. They say IPOB is an armless group doing protests, but you have seen it yourself that the group is violent. They set bonfires on the road and attack with offensive weapons.

“IPOB destroyed the Ariaria Police station, they were armed with petrol bombs which they used to destroy Police and exhibit vehicles. They also carted three pump action rifles and threw a petrol bomb on a patrol vehicle conveying MOPOL men. You can see the destruction of commercial vehicles.

“IPOB coordinated these attacks from Nnamdi Kanu’s house. IPOB members confronted the military at Isiala Ngwa. Look at the attack on the bank, we don’t know the motive. IPOB going to this extent cannot be said to be a non violent organization. Anybody that abets, finances, encourages or associates with IPOB will be arrested.”

Following the alleged invasion of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu’s home and other alleged human rights abuses, members of the IPOB group were said to have taken laws into their own hands, burning the Ariaria Police Station and engaging in order acts of civil disobedience.

There’s apparently no reason for anyone to associate with IPOB or any of its members. Anyone who does that has criminal mind and deserves to be arrested and treated like a criminal

IPOB members are not what the polic described, it wasn’t us who destroyed the police station, we are peaceful and easy going.

APC government cannot stop Biafra, IPOB is not a terrorist group and the whole world knows that. The federal government of Nigeria is trying to dent our good image in the international scene so that no country will come to our aid, but this their ploy will never suceed

Absense of Buhari made the IPOB gain more grounds, I knew Buhari will deal with they once he returns. Now that he’s in the country, the IPOB members are already having tough time.
