Bin Laden’s 28-yr-old son set to take over terror group al-Qaeda

The late Osama Bin Laden’s 28-year-old son, Hamza is gearing up to take over terror group, al-Qaeda if letters found after the 2011 raid that killed his father are anything to go by.

Hamza who has been featured in four propaganda videos for the group and is seen as the ‘poster kid’ for the terrorist organization wrote about the ‘path of jihad’ in one of the letters to his father when he was 22.

In the words of Ali Soufan, a former FBI agent who has read the documents, which are now declassified, he said that Hamza seems motivated and prepared to avenge his father’s death.

According to Soufan, principal among Hamza’s messages is his desire for revenge.

‘He’s basically saying, “American people, we’re coming and you’re going to feel it. And we’re going to take revenge for what you did to my father…Iraq…Afghanistan”…the whole thing was about vengeance,’ Soufan said.

Soufan who also served as the bureau’s lead investigator of al Qaeda after 9/11 also revealed that Bin Laden’s son was long seen as the next possible leader of the terrorist organization when he was just a child.
