Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi was in action only for an hour as Leicester City ended their impressive run with a 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Ndidi, who clocked 21 on Saturday, put up a fine performance with the Foxes in the matchday-19 Premier League encounter at the King Power Stadium.

Christian Benteke, with a 19th-minute header, and Wilfred Zaha, with a 40th minute finish, put the away side on the winning end before the break.

Trailing 2-0 into the second half, the home side struggled but any hope of coming back into the game was hamstrung when Ndidi was shown a second yellow card for simulation in the penalty box on the hour mark.

The Nigerian becomes the first player to be sent off in the English topflight on his birthday since Crystal Palace’s Dwight Gayle against West Ham United on October 17th 2015.

Bakary Sako later completed the scoreline with a 94th-minute round off of a counter attack, to send Palace to 14 on the table pending the results of other games of the weekend.

Leicester, who so impressively dismantled Southampton during the week, remain eighth in the table, while the Roy Hodgson men leaped out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.
