Bloody clash recorded ahead polls

Ahead commencement of Saturday’s (today’) election in Ondo State, in which 1.2 million registered voters are expected to cast their votes, a bloody clash reportedly broke out in Owo area of Ondo State on Friday.

Already there are palpable tension ahead the poll after rival Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) thugs went on rampage in a clash that reportedly saw many people injured.

The clash was said to have resulted into loss of lives and destruction of houses.

However, the Police Public Relations Officer, Femi Joseph, denied any death but said some people were injured during the clash.

The clash came after a previous suspected clash on Thursday night claimed the life of an APC chieftain in Owo.

Ther have been accusations and counter accusations over the clash, as the APC said it was instigated by supporters of the PDP, while the PDP on its part denied the claims.
