Boko Haram’s ceaseless attacks on the northern fringes of Nigeria have continued unabated. The latest of the attacks occurred Monday in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The communities hit by the terrorist group include Nyibango and Muduvu. Though no lives were reported lost in the incident, Ripples Nigeria gathered that houses, churches, shops and animals were burnt.

The Council Chairman of Madagali Local Government, Yusuf Mohammed, who spoke to journalists confirmed that the attack occurred on Monday night and lasted for about two hours.

The Madagali attack comes a day after Abubakar Shekau, supposed leader of Boko Haram, released a video in which he taunted President Muhammadu Buhari, former President Goodluck Jonathan and Chief of Amy Staff, Tukur Buratai who recently ordered his arrest within 40 days.

The Nigerian government continues to maintain that the Boko Haram terrorist group has been ‘technically defeated.’
