Not all Nigerians want 'one of the thieves' to win in 2019, Sowore mocks Atiku, Buhari

Suspended National Chairman and Presidential Candidate in the 2019 general elections, Omoyele Sowore, has received some boost of some sort after the African Action Congress (AAC), U.S. Chapter, on Friday, passed a vote of confidence on him.

Chairman of the AAC in the US, Mr Oladotun Ogunleye, in a statement, expressed confidence in Sowore’s leadership and also condemned his purported suspension as the party’s national chairman.

According to Mr Ogunleye, the expelled former national secretary, Dr Leonard Nzenwa should henceforth desist from parading himself as the acting chairman of the AAC.

He said; “The leadership and entire members of AAC, U.S.A. condemn in no uncertain terms the purported suspension of our party’s national chairman by some disgruntled elements led by expelled former national secretary, Dr Leonard Nzenwa.

“Nzenwa should henceforth desist from parading himself as the acting chairman of our great party. “We can only have one chairman; that person is the convener of our movement and founder of our party, Comrade Sowore.

“AAC is an ideological party that is committed to bringing hope and restoring the pride of the people of Nigeria.

“All attempts by Nwanze and his co-sponsors to distract the good people of Nigeria, who are subscribing to the ideas of our great party on a daily basis, are bound to fail,” he added.

Recall that the AAC in a statement by Comrade Oladele Ade, Acting Director Communication, said that it suspended Sowore and nine other NEC members of the party for alleged corruption and anti-party activities.

Comrade Ade in the statement confirmed the installation of Dr. Leonard Ezenwa as the Acting National Chairman and also added that Dr Ezenwa was until March 27 the National Secretary of the party.
