Army beckons on Boko Haram to embrace Buhari’s amnesty

A suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber Sunday struck outside the headquarters of the Borno State command of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), located in the Muna area of Maiduguri, the state capital.

It was reported that two female suicide bombers set out for the attack, with only one able to detonate her explosive device before security operatives arrived.

The other suspect was reportedly shot dead.

The incident was said to have occurred around 6:30pm.

Victor Isuku, spokesman of the Borno police command, said operatives from the Explosives Ordinance Disposal (EOD) unit of the police had been sent to the scene.
