BORNO: Many feared killed as suicide bomber hits military post

A male suicide bomber on Tuesday hit a military post at Mandariri in Konduga local government area of Borno State killing at least five people.

Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed the incident to newsmen.

NEMA’s Zonal Coordinator, Bashir Garga, said that the attack was carried out by a male suicide bomber, who hid an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) between his thighs making it hard to detect.

He also informed that evacuation was ongoing.

Among those killed were members of the civilian JTF with many sustaining various degrees of injuries.
