220 fresh COVID-19 cases push Nigeria’s total to 2388; death toll climbs to 85

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Saturday night confirmed 220 COVID-19 cases in the country.

The latest figure has further increased the number of COVD-19 cases in Nigeria to 2, 388.

The death toll has also increased from 68 to 85 within 24 hours.

Also, 385 patients have been discharged from hospitals and isolation facilities across the country.

In the daily COVID-19 update published on its Twitter handle, the NCDC also released figures on COVID-19 infections in the affected states.

The breakdown of the 220 cases recorded on Saturday shows the following: Lagos (62), FCT (52), Kaduna (31), Sokoto (13), Kebbi (10), Yobe (9), Borno (6), Edo (5), Bauchi (5), Gombe (4), Enugu (4) and Oyo (4).

Others are – Zamfara (3), Nasarawa (2), Osun (2), Ebonyi (2), Kwara (2), Kano (2) and Plateau (2).

The centre said: “2388 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria.

“Discharged: 385 AND Deaths: 85.”
