239 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria; total surpasses 4000 to 4151

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Saturday night confirmed 239 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.

The centre said on its Twitter handle that Nigeria now had 4,151 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 128 deaths.

Meanwhile, 745 persons have been discharged from isolation facilities after they were given a clean bill of health by medical personnel.

The breakdown of the figure on state-by-state basis showed the following: Lagos (97), Bauchi (44), Kano (29), Katsina (19), Borno (17), FCT (7), Kwara (6) and Oyo (5).

Others are –Kaduna (3), Sokoto (3), Adamawa (2), Kebbi (2), Plateau (2), Ogun (2), and Ekiti (1).

The NCDC said: “4,151 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria.

“Discharged: 745 AND Deaths: 128.”
