The Commissioner for Lands in Oyo, Abdulraheem Abiodun, was on Wednesday night attacked by gunmen in Ibadan, the state capital.
According to reports, the gunmen struck at about 8pm just after the commissioner was dropped at his residence.
Though the motive for the attack is yet unknown, the state police command said it would brief journalists on the attack.
