BREAKING: Highest single day rise in Nigeria as 381 new cases of COVID-19 push total to 3526; deaths now 107

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Thursday night confirmed 381 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the country.

The freshly infected persons have now increased the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 3,526.

The number of fatalities also increased from 103 to 107 within 24 hours.

The centre said on its Twitter handle that 601 patients had been effectively managed and discharged from the nation’s isolation facilities.

The breakdown of the new infection figure on state-by-state basis showed the following: Lagos (183), Kano (55), Jigawa (44), Zamfara (19), Bauchi (19), Katsina (11), Borno (9), Kwara (8) and Kaduna (7).

Others are – Gombe (6), Ogun (5), Sokoto (4), Oyo (3), Rivers (3), Niger (2), Akwa Ibom (1), Enugu (1) and Plateau (1).

The NCDC said: “3,526 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria.

“Discharged: 601 AND Deaths: 107.”
