Kwara discharges 2 COVID-19 patients
Two patients undergoing treatment for the dreaded COVID-19 disease in Kwara State have been discharged after a successful treatment.
This was disclosed on Thursday by the Commissioner for Health in the state, Dr. Raji Abdulrazaq, who made the announcement on his Twitter handle.
According to him, the patients were discharged after full recovery and testing negative for the virus twice.
The Commissioner tweeted: “Am happy to announce that we discharged two COVID-19 index cases in Kwara after testing twice”
Also speaking on the development, Special Assistant to the Governor on new media, Fafoluyi Olayinka, stated that they were discharged after full recovery.

He also revealed that the state had procured more Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for health workers to aid them in the fight against the spread of coronavirus in the state.
“The welfare of health workers who are in the frontline of the fight against the spread of the deadly virus is of importance to the state government, more reason why the government had to fast track the procurement of more protective gears to guarantee the safety of health workers who have put their lives on the line to ensure Kwara and indeed Nigeria is free of Coronavirus”, Olayinka wrote on his Twitter handle @@OlayinkaSolace
He added, “The state government, despite receiving some protective equipment from the National Centre for Disease Control (@NCDCgov) is doubling up efforts to ensure all the requirements needed to fight and completely stamp out the virus are provided.”
