Lagos govt discharges 8 more COVID-19 cases

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Tuesday confirmed the discharge of eight more COVID-19 patients who had been receiving treatment at the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba.

Sanwo-Olu, who disclosed this on his verified Twitter handle, @jidesanwoolu, said the patients were discharged after medical personnel at the hospital had established the full recovery from the disease.

The governor tweeted: “More great news today from our Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba.

“Eight more people: two females and six males have tested negative and fully recovered from #COVID19. They have been discharged to return to their families.

“This brings the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our facilities to 69.

“Please, let us continue to adhere to all the safety advice from our health experts.”
