Nigeria records 176 new COVID-19 cases as total hits 5621; death toll now 176

The number of Nigerians who have contracted the COVID-19 pandemic continued on the rise on Saturday with the country recording 176 new cases.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this on its Twitter handle, @NCDCgov.

The 176 new cases took the total number of confirmed cases of the dreaded virus infection in Nigeria to 5,621.

The center also announced the death of five more patients as a result of the virus, taking the total death from the disease from 171 to 176.

Of the new cases, like has always been the case, Lagos took the highest share with 95, followed by Oyo State with 31 and Abuja 11.
