Nigerian military repel Boko Haram attack on Damaturu

Emerging reports Thursday evening said that the Nigerian military, backed by fighter jets, had repelled Boko Haram attack on Damaturu, Yobe State.

Reports said the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jet bombed the attackers’ locations ceaselessly while residents of the volatile areas were kept indoors while the attack lasted.

The attempted infiltration into the state capital by the terrorists is the first in about five years.
