Vice President Yemi Osinbajo tests negative for coronavirus

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who has been on self isolation, on Wednesday tested negative for the deadly coronavirus disease.

Osinbajo has been on self-isolation following his interaction with President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, who tested positive to the deadly disease.

Many Nigerians had been apprehensive over what could be the status of Osinbajo and other top government officials who came in close contact with Kyari.

However, in a tweet Wednesday morning, Babafemi Ojudu, a Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, announced that Osinbajo’s test result came back negative.

In the tweet on -@babaloveme3, Ojudu said, “Vice President Yemi Osinbajo test negative.”

Reports on Tuesday, also claimed that President Buhari tested negative to the Covid-19 pandemic.
