BREAKING: Victor Osimhen nets brace on Lille debut

Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen was twice on target on his debut for French Ligue 1 side, Lille in their 2-1 victory against Nantes on Sunday.

The 20-year-old joined the club just before the start of the season from Sporting Charleroi of Belgium, and went on to show his worth in the season opener at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Osimhen opened scoring for the home team in the 19th minute, cooly slamming the ball home following a long pass from Jose Conte.

Nantes equalised five minutes after the break when Lille’s Mehmet Celki conceding an own goal.

Osimhen, who was involved from start to finish in the game, netted the winning goal 10 minutes from time with a near post finish.

Next up for Lille are Amiens, who they face in the French Ligue 1 again on Saturday.
