Brexit: EU officials pile pressure on UK to begin exit process
The government of the United Kingdom is now facing pressure from ministers of the European Union to begin Brexit negotiations following a landmark vote by Britain to leave the 28-member European Union.
There are also worries that the outcome could lead to the break-up of the UK itself after Scotland raised the prospect of another independence vote.

The landmark vote prompted the resignation of David Cameron, the prime minister, and dealing the biggest blow to European efforts at greater unity since the second world war.
Britain’s decision to exit the EU has also caused financial markets to fall sharply and brought the British pound down to a 31-year low, its biggest drop in history.
