British court hands life sentence to man who carried out deadly London Mosque attack

A court in Britain has handed a life sentence to Darren Osborne, the man who carried out a deadly vehicle ramming attack on a Mosque in London which killed a worshiper and wounded several others last year.

After he was found guilty of murder and attempted murder, a judge sentenced Osborne to a minimum 43-year prison term for the attack which occured at the Finsbury Park area of North London while the area was busy with worshippers leaving late evening prayers during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The convict who hails from Wales, was found guilty of murdering 51-year-old Makram Ali and trying to kill others in the north London are during the incident.

Reports say Osborne developed a repulsive obsession with Muslims after watching a BBC programme in which white girls were abused by British Pakistani men.
