Brother of ex-Big Brother Naija housemate admits he’s gay
Nigerian gay men have in recent times been bold enough to declare their status not minding the backlash that may follow such declaration especially in a society which frowns at such orientation.
The growing number of such men has risen by one after Karl Oputa, the elder brother of ex-Big Brother Naija housemate Uriel Oputa came out as gay on Instagram.

Karl who is London based came out clean about his sexual orientation when he posted a picture of himself and his sister on the social media site with the hashtag #blackgayman #stayinthenow #gaymenwithbeards.
Bald and bearded Karl who is said to be proud of his status now joins Nigerian men like Bisi Alimi, Kehinde Bademosi, Pastor Jide Macaulay, John Amaechi, Chika Nwafor, John Adewoye and Dr. Otibho Obianwu who have all openly declared they are gay.
