Nigerian serving senator from Bayelsa East senatorial district, Ben Murray Bruce, has told President Muhammadu Buhari-led government that it is practically not possible to fight corruption
with minimum wage of workers still N18,000.

The outspoken Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senator stated this in a statement he made through social media, adding that Nigerians are not corrupt, but instead, it is the system they found themselves that is corrupt.

“When the actual cost of living is somewhere around ₦60k per month and minimum wage is ₦18k there is no way you can fight corruption!” he said.
